WMS Sixth Graders Use Science Knowledge to Cook S'mores

After studying heat transfer, conduction, convection, and radiation, Ms. Lisa Johnson's and Ms. Pam Rushing's sixth grade science students built and tested solar ovens.  Students used pizza boxes, plastic wrap, and aluminum foil to construct ovens that use the sun's radiation to cook s'mores.  The s'mores were cooked to perfection and students enjoyed seeing heat transfer in action.
