Each day during morning break at Walton Middle School, Ms. Kathy Russ' eighth grade students operate their own mini-restaurant.  The eighth graders take salad orders from their peers and then prepare them to order.  The students harvest the salad greens daily from the WMS ag program's hydroponic towers housed in Ms. Russ' classroom.  They thoroughly wash their hands and glove up to fulfill the orders they receive.  Not only do students prepare and enjoy healthy salads, but they also learn waitressing and kitchen skills that will serve them well later in life.  At WMS, learning can be both relevant and delicious.
