Congratulations to Calie Brackin for being selected as one of the 2026 Chelco Youth Tour delegates! ๐ In February, 22 local high school juniors participated in the Youth Tour sponsored by the Florida Electric Cooperatives Association (FECA). The day-and-a-half, expense-paid trip to Tallahassee included mock legislative sessions in the House of Representatives and State Senate, as well as tours of the historic legislative grounds.
After returning from Tallahassee, students submitted video reflections on their Youth Tour experience. An independent panel of judges from local energy and electric cooperatives, not associated with Chelco, reviewed the submissions and selected the top students to advance as Chelco's delegates for the Youth Tour in Washington, D.C., in June.
We're so proud that Calie was selected as one of the four delegates to represent the cooperative!
