Every day and each period, many teachers throughout our tribe start or end class with a brief time to share “good things”—the happiest things, both big and small, in our Warriors’ lives worth celebrating.

This week in Mr. Stephen Byrd’s classroom, eighth grader Kadence Houser proudly celebrated a major milestone in her family—her baby nephew Kyson learning to walk.  When talking about Kyson’s first steps, Kadence beamed, super proud of his adorable toddling.  In fact, she describes him as “the cutest baby ever.”

As we too take big, brave steps in life, may we all take a minute to pause, look, and appreciate our many good things.  Just a little bit of gratitude can sometimes turn even our hardest days around.

We are one tribe, on one mission, slowing down just a bit to celebrate life’s happy moments.
