It isn’t every day that classroom history lessons line up with current events, but that was the case in Mr. Brendon Murphy’s eighth grade U.S. History class last week.

If you have followed the news at all lately, you know that all the world is abuzz about the recent death of Queen Elizabeth II, age ninety-six, concluding her seventy-year reign in the United Kingdom. The end of her historic legacy just so happened to line up with a lesson about the line of succession and its impact on U.S. history in Mr. Murphy’s class.
