Students in seventh grade science have been learning about the metric system and the tools scientists use to do their jobs. Last week, students completed a hands-on metrics and measurement lab.
Students worked together to learn how to measure length with a meter stick, mass with a triple beam balance, and volume with graduated cylinders.
Not only did students learn science, but they also practiced math skills by finding the mass of water by difference and volume of a solid object by volume differences through the water displacement method.
One tribe, one mission, rising to master science standards through hands-on learning and collaboration.
