On Saturday, January 21st, both the WMS girls and boys soccer teams competed in the post-season tournament.  The girls received a bye in the first round as the second seeded team and then defeated Lewis in overtime in the semi-final game to advance to the finals where they faced Emerald Coast Middle School.  The Lady Warriors didn’t get the win, but they did bring home the first WMS girls soccer team finalist trophy in the program’s history!

The boys defeated Freeport last Wednesday in the first round to also advance to the semi-finals.  They faced Lewis Saturday morning and won, moving on to the finals versus ECMS.  Like the girls, they came up short in the end but brought home the runner-up trophy as well.

It was a great season for both teams.  The girls ended with a record of 6 wins, 3 losses, and 1 tie.  The boys ended with a record of 8 wins and 5 losses.

No doubt about it—it’s great to be a Walton Warrior!

We are one tribe, on one mission, celebrating wins on fields, in classrooms, and in life.
